Meet Gizmorift

Gizmorift features

Gizmorift brings friends, shared interests and everyday conversations together. Use Personal for friends, calls and files; Social for posts and communities; Nova for AI tools; and Games for a little play. Personal and Social use separate profiles.

Friend messaging

Connect using a Gizmorift account address and an accepted friend request. Send text, photos, videos, GIFs, documents, emoji, stamps and shared contacts. React to messages with emoji. Message menus support replies, copying, saving, hiding and unsending your own messages.

Clear message feedback

See when a message is sending and when Gizmorift has saved it. If a send is not confirmed, keep the message unchanged and press Send to retry without creating a duplicate. Sent means saved by the server; a read receipt, when enabled, shows that the message was visible in the recipient’s open conversation. Online presence reflects activity while the app is in the foreground, when sharing is enabled. Unsent text stays in the same browser tab across reloads until you sign out and does not sync to other devices.

A clear, up-to-date inbox

Choose Recently used to keep the conversations you have used most recently at the top. When a friend sends a message, their conversation moves to the top automatically. On phones, the Friends list has its own scroll area; My files and Shared spaces shortcuts stay available in Chats without crowding the list.

Interest communities

Join conversations about shared interests, share experiences, ask questions and give constructive, candid feedback. Discussions support comments, reactions, accepted answers, pinned posts and closed replies. Community rules and moderation apply. Creating an interest community requires Pro or Ultra (Developer also qualifies); Free members can join and post. Communities use a separate public handle, name, bio and icon rather than the private chat identity.

Social posts and messages

Create a separate Social profile to follow people, publish text or photo posts, comment, like and repost. Social messages use public handles and stay separate from Personal chats. Sending requires a follow in either direction, messages enabled for both people and no Social block. Turning off Explore discovery does not make Social posts private.

Team communication

Create member-only team spaces, invite colleagues, appoint moderators and share project discussions and files. Membership controls who can open a team space in the app.

Voice and video calls

Make browser-based audio or video calls with friends, or join group calls with up to eight participants. Call summaries in the conversation show missed or ended calls and connected duration. Callers receive ringing or an explanation when a friend is busy, offline or unavailable. Background call notifications depend on the recipient enabling browser push notifications and their browser delivering them. Calls need recipient acceptance, camera or microphone permission and a supported network. TURN relay and independently verified caller identity are not implemented, so connectivity is not guaranteed across every network.

Personal file storage

Use the same account to access your personal files from different devices while the server is online. Free includes 1 GB, Supporter 2 GB, Pro 10 GB and Ultra 50 GB of personal storage. Storage limits use decimal GB.

Shared spaces

Create shared spaces for files and collaborate with selected members. Membership controls access, and files use the owner’s storage plan. Open Shared spaces from Chats.

Developer bots

Owners can install externally hosted bots using a scoped REST API. Tokens are restricted to a selected community and its granted read/write permissions. A token does not grant access to private direct messages, personal storage or account administration. A read-enabled bot can process content in its assigned space.

Account data and recovery

All members can download a password-confirmed JSON data export and delete their account in Settings. Pro and Ultra members can also prepare a passphrase-protected encrypted archive that includes authorized files. Keep the archive passphrase safe; it is separate from your Gizmorift password.

Try Pro

Eligible Free members can start one seven-day Pro trial per account. Stripe must confirm a card or an eligible Apple Pay or Google Pay payment method first. After seven days, Pro renews at US$5 per month unless cancelled through Manage billing before the trial ends.

Nova AI

Nova offers chat, writing, translation, image creation and editing, and audio and video tools, depending on provider availability. Review the selected model, processing category and credit cost before confirming. Submitted prompts, selected files and the conversation context used by the tool are sent to Venice and sometimes an upstream model provider. Results are saved in your Nova library. Nova is separate from the rule-based community helper.

Games

Open Games for Chess, Neon Rally, Tank Arena, Battleships, Starfall, Checkers, Paddle Clash, Connect Four, Reversi and Gomoku. Invite a Personal friend or find a random opponent; Chess also has five bot levels. Random opponents see a player alias rather than your private profile. Pro and Ultra include chess Game Review. Tank Arena, Neon Rally and Starfall track personal progress, XP, medals and records.

Credits and Shop

Where available, use Gizmorift credits for Nova, Shop items, transfers or plan gifts. Shop purchases can unlock themes, chat backgrounds and profile styles to keep on any plan. Plan-only actions still require the relevant plan. Review the cost and recipient before confirming; credits have no cash-out option. Credit purchases can be paused, and checkout availability is shown in the app.

Personalization

Choose a profile image, bio, colors and per-chat backgrounds. Ultra members can upload their own PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF or AVIF chat backgrounds up to 5 MB; uploads use their My files storage. English and Japanese language options are available in the application. Some customization, stamp and saved-message features depend on the plan.
